Make Your Own Ringtones With makeownringtone.com

make-own-ringtone.pngLifehacker recently published an interesting piece on how to make your own ring tones using a free online service, makeownringtone.com.  Makeownringtone.com offers a simplistic audio editor embedded within a creative Flash app.  You upload an MP3, WAV, or OGG, and then edit the audio using a very childish looking editor.

At first, I found it a little more annoying than useful, but after playing with it for a few minutes I was able to make a few pretty neat ring tones.  My favorite was a hacked ring tone using Grand Synthe's Descender (chill electronic, similar to the type of stuff you might find on Soma FM's Groove Salad or Sirius XM Chill).

Enjoy.
